Specifications of Manganese Sulfate
Manganese Sulfate occurs as a pale-pink, granular powder. It
is freely soluble in water, but is insoluble in alcohol.

Manganese (Mn): 31.8% min
Lead (Pb): 0.001% MAX
Arsenic (As): 0.0005% MAX
Chloride (Cl): 0.005% max
Water insoluble: 0.05% max
Fineness (pass 250μm): 95%

DESCRIPTION
Manganese Sulfate occurs as a
pale-pink, granular powder. It is freely soluble in water, but is insoluble in
alcohol.
Function: Nutrient.
REQUIREMENTS
Identification: A 1:10 aqueous solution gives positive tests for Manganese and for
Sulfate.
Assay: Not less than 98.0% and not more than 102.0% of MnSO4·H2O.
Arsenic: Not more than 3 mg/kg.
Lead: Not more than 4 mg/kg.
Loss on Heating: Between 10.0% and 13.0%.
Selenium: Not more than 0.003%.
